I consider myself an artist but am fascinated by technology and how that impacts our lives. Intriguing Digital Stories was created as a venue for providing contemporary blogging from the perspective of a graduate student in the Integrated Marketing Communication program at West Virginia University.

I came to the program seeking knowledge and participation in the area of digital marketing.  My background may seem random but almost feels as though I’ve come full circle in discovering this program.  I’ve always created art, studied art and considered myself an artist.  I detoured into the tech world and earned a B.S. in Computer Information Systems, and later studied graphic and website design.

Most of my professional career has been in the commercial printing industry. I fell in love with the way the presses laid down layers of the four basic printing colors of cyan, magenta, yellow and black to create full color printed images. In art school I fell in love with the sound and feel of rolling out ink to create unique art images through multiple printmaking processes.

My most recent work has been in the nonprofit sector in Southern Arizona.  I managed art programs and developed a marketing program for a nonprofit art center and am now designing and managing websites and social media promotions, mostly with clients in the nonprofit sector. I’ve found that Southern Arizona weather and landscape inspires my art and feeds my soul.
